About Us

Our Story

Damhead Nursery was established in 2005 by Sue Gray and is open to both retail and trade customers. We specialise in Hardy plants for Scottish gardens, experience has taught us that our Scottish grown stock grown in locally made compost does very well in our climate.

Sue is a trained Landscape Architect who understands the needs of the landscape industry and appreciates the importance of supplying quality stock to all customers.

The nursery is situated on the south side of the Edinburgh city bypass and is only six miles from Edinburgh  city centre.

Plants are available direct from the nursery, or click and collect from our online catalogue and from our plant stalls at farmers markets like Penicuik and Edinburgh. 

We stock an extensive range of competitively priced stock. Our dedicated sales team can offer advice and provide prompt quotations to customers and an in-house garden design and horticultural advice service are available.
